Putting an edge on wood
In 1987 MPI began as a two man operation that developed a new technology for the production of miniature figurines being supplied for the Hobby and Craft retail market. Starting out in a modest 500 square foot office space, we began to market our new product and technology to the major retailers in the Hobby and Craft industry. The products and technology used to produce them was a major success for MPI and the many retailers that supplied these products to the consumers.
Over the years, the entrepreneurial spirit has driven MPI to become a very specialized company for the Hobby, Craft, and Home Décor industry. Expanding our products and services to better serve our customers retail needs, MPI Wood has become one of the largest domestic manufacturer’s of unfinished wood products for the Hobby and Craft industry, and finished wood product for the Home Décor business. All of our products are manufactured here in our facility located in Garland, Texas. (Dallas/Ft.Worth)
Today MPI Wood as we are known operates out of a 55,000 square foot facility, with room for expansion. Our structure allows us the flexibility to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if needed. This flexible and adaptable approach also allows us to produce our products and provide our various services to our customers at the highest level. Since all of our products are manufactured, packaged, and shipped from our facility here in Texas, our customers benefit by being able to manage and control their inventories more efficiently thus saving them valuable dollars every year. As you can see, our business is much more than a “hobby” to us.
